Dr Prem Nath Berry Educational Trust was founded on 24th July 1962 by Dr Prem Nath Berry. It is an educational charity established by a trust Deed.

The objects of the Charity are to provide scholarships to enable doctors and nurses from all parts of Republic of India (without regard to casts or religion or private financial resources) to have the opportunity to advance study and further training in their respective professions in the United Kingdom. The charity is committed to providing advance public education and training the field of medicine.

Any person benefiting from a scholarship from Berry Trust must return to India to serve in a medical, dental, or nursing hospital or medical school for a period. This will allow the public in India to benefit from the training and education imparted to this candidate.

The charity achieves its objectives by supporting visiting doctors from India so that they can avail the benefits of knowledge and training offered by various institutions in UK.

Berry Trust has been working closely with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Imperial College London to improve research accessibility and knowledge sharing for doctors, dentists, nurses, and medical professionals in Jammu and Kashmir, a Union Territory in northern India. This important collaboration has been highly appreciated by the medical community and has proven beneficial for the exchange of knowledge and expertise between world-class medical institutions. Berry Trust aims to extend this support by organising such seminars and workshops in other Indian states.

Berry Trust is also closely collaborating with other esteemed medical institutions in the Indian state of Punjab to strengthen partnerships and provide training seminars.
